Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Your Boathouse (the “Service”), provided by Sports Stats Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Your Boathouse is a web application for managing boats, bookings, members and maintenance for rowing, sculling, kayak, canoe and outrigger clubs. We may update, improve or change features over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create a club account.

3. Clubs and administrators

A club is administered by one or more administrators. Administrators are responsible for managing members, roles and permissions, for the content and data they add to the Service, and for ensuring they have any necessary rights and consents (including for data about junior members). Administrators control access to their club’s data.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • The Service is provided on a paid subscription basis, billed per club. Members invited to a club are not charged.
  • Subscriptions are available on monthly, annual and biennial terms and are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term.
  • 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first subscription payment by contacting hello@your-boathouse.com. After this period, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • We may change our prices. We will give reasonable notice, and changes apply from your next renewal.
  • Plans have usage limits (for example, the number of boats and members). Exceeding a plan’s limits may require upgrading to a higher plan.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, disrupting the Service, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or using it to violate the rights of others.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of the data you and your club submit to the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us a licence to host and process Customer Data solely to provide the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and content (excluding Customer Data), is owned by Sports Stats Limited and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or for reasons beyond our reasonable control.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
