Useful emails, and nothing else

Your Boathouse sends a small, deliberate set of club-branded emails. Here is exactly what goes out at a canoe club, who receives it, and how everyone stays in control.

What we send

Four emails, each with a job

Overdue-return alerts

The safety email that matters most. If a C1 passes its estimated return time without checking back in, Your Boathouse emails your coaches, your admins and the paddler automatically.

  • Sent the moment a boat is overdue
  • Goes to coaches, admins and the paddler
  • Sent once per outing — no nagging
  • Includes the boat, who took it out and where they were headed

The weekly digest

Every week, coaches and admins get a one-email summary of the boathouse — the week ahead and the week just gone — so the committee always has the picture without logging in.

  • The week ahead, boat by boat
  • Last week’s outings, hours and busiest boats
  • Incidents and boat issues reported
  • Choose Monday or Sunday delivery

Water-status broadcasts

When a coach sets conditions to amber, red or closed — say for rising river levels — they can email the whole membership in one click, so no one turns up to a closed sprint session.

  • One click to notify all members
  • Carries the status and an optional note
  • Red or closed also suspends check-outs in the app

Invitations

Growing the club happens by email too. Invite paddlers by address and they join automatically after signing up — with the role and boat permissions you chose.

  • Invite by email with a chosen role
  • Automatic join — no codes to copy
  • Resend or revoke pending invites anytime

Members choose what reaches them

Every notification is on by default and can be switched off per person, per club — so people get what they need and nothing they don’t.

Per-person preferences

Each member manages their own notification preferences from their profile — independently for each club they belong to.

Club-branded

Every email carries your club’s name, logo and colours, so it lands as a message from your boathouse — not from a faceless tool.

No spam, ever

No marketing, no digests members didn’t ask for. Overdue alerts are sent once per outing; the weekly digest is once a week.
